If you come to Granada, Nicaragua you will find some of the oldest houses built up offshore Lake Nicaragua by Spaniards back century XVI and XVII. Amazingly, the materials used for constructing these houses were sugar cane, mud and eggs. It may sound crazy but these colonial style buildings can stand still after an earthquake with no problem.
